“Treevenge”, Hobo with a Shotgun, V/H/S/2, and Vice TV’s hit “Dark Side of the Ring” director Jason Eisener is back with the horror/sci-fi Kids vs. Aliens, which will have its World Premiere this coming Friday at the ongoing Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.

Ahead of the premiere, Bloody Disgusting is excited to share the first stills from the latest collaboration between Bloody Disgusting, Cinepocalypse, and Studio71, who jointly produced V/H/S/94 and V/H/S/99.

RLJE Films & Shudder fully financed and partnered on the hotly anticipated horror film and will release the film In Theaters, on Demand and Digital in early 2023 with a Shudder release to follow later in the year.

Eisener co-wrote the film with John Davies (Hobo with a Shotgun).

In Kids vs. Aliens,  all Gary wants is to make awesome home movies with his best buds. All his older sister Samantha wants is to hang with the cool kids. When their parents head out of town one Halloween weekend, an all-time rager of a teen house party turns to terror when aliens attack, forcing the siblings to band together to survive the night.

The upcoming movie stars Dominic Mariche (“Are You Afraid of the Dark?,” “Team Zenko Go”), Phoebe Rex (“The Last Divide”), Calem MacDonald (“The Umbrella Academy”), Asher Grayson Percival (“Scaredy Cats”), and Ben Tector.

Kids vs. Aliens was produced by  Brad Miska (V/H/S franchise, Southbound), Josh Goldbloom (V/H/S/94/99), Jason Levangie (Night Blooms), Marc Tetreault (“Moonshine”), and Rob Cotterill (Possessor).

On the way from Jamie Lee Curtis‘ production company Comet Pictures is a horror short film titled Return to Sender, and Bloody Disgusting is debuting the official trailer today.

Jamie Lee Curtis co-created and produced Return to Sender, which follows a woman who becomes fixated on a package delivery scam that grows increasingly strange and personal.

Starring Allison Tolman (Krampus), Return to Sender has been accepted into over 20 film festivals so far and it will premiere online on Alter and Omeleto this November.

Return to Sender will play at Fantastic Fest on September 24 and September 26, attached to the feature Smoking Causes Coughing, as well as Beyond Fest on October 1st.

Russell Goldman (Blumhouse’s Mother Nature) wrote and directed Return to Sender.

Goldman said in a statement to Bloody Disgusting, “I received a notification. The Valentine’s Day gift I ordered for my partner had just just arrived at my door. I brought the box inside and opened it, but what I purchased was not inside. Instead there were two used shin guards— stained, smelling foul— that I threw out of my hands. It sounds irrational, but by bringing this package I ordered into my home, I felt I had violated my own personal space. I kept thinking about who had done this. Why they would even do this.

“One day at work, Jamie Lee Curtis told me about a delivery scam her sister experienced… receiving walking sticks that she didn’t order but she still needed. It took me back to my fixation… the mystery that ate at me. This was my way into telling Return to Sender, a short about our desire for control over our lives.”

Exclusively watch the Return to Sender trailer below to begin this strange mystery…
