Spin-cycling shoe meets do-it-all gym shoe in Bontrager’s all-new Cadence.

To accomplish the spin shoe’s broad versatility, its creators paired a classic cycling cleat system with the support of a high-quality cross-trainer. Bontrager claims that the hybrid design delivers unmatched performance whether you’re on the bike or off.

Bontrager made the Cadence Spin Shoe to streamline transitions between indoor cycling and complementary exercises like stretching, lifting, jogging, or running errands. Do everything without having to switch footwear? That’s a concept that we can get behind.

The Cadence offers studio spinners the option of adding two-bolt, SPD-style cleats to the sole for a solid shoe-to-bike connection. This integration emulates the clip-in functionality of road cycling shoes, providing slip-free security and spreading demands on your legs no matter how intense the session gets. Just note that cleats and pedals are sold separately.

As far as fit goes, Bontrager fits the slip-on shoe with a micro-adjustable BOA L6 lace system, stationary neoprene tongue, and grippy heel counter.

A breathable mesh upper, an EVA foam midsole, and a stout, tractable outsole fill out the Cadence’s off-bike performance.

The Bontrager Cadence Spin Shoe ($140 MSRP) is available in black, teal green, grey, and unisex sizing.
